Southwest Women's Law Center

We work on issues that impact women and girls around reproductive rights, economic security, and gender discrimination. We have fought and continue to fight for policies that lift women and their families out of poverty, including pay equity, paid family and medical leave, and pregnant worker accommodations.

We provide trainings on pregnant and lactating worker and student rights, and trainings on topics related to reproductive justice, including the deceptive practices of crisis pregnancy centers.

The Southwest Women’s Law Center also provides free legal representation, advice, and brief services for Native women+ who are experiencing domestic violence and/or intimate partner violence while residing in one of the 19 Pueblos in New Mexico. We assist survivors in cases involving custody, child support, and protective orders.
